Accessibility by Reka
As a broadly supported cooperative society, Reka functions according to the non-profit principle. We do not distribute any profits but reinvest profits in the cooperative which also includes people with disabilities. With a view to future generations, we create added value for the benefit of all, hand-in-hand with our partners, customers and staff members. We are committed to the environment as well as to economically and socially disadvantaged sections of society. Do you need a wheelchair or a walking aid? Or are you reliant on barrier-free accessibility due to other dispositions? Do you spend your holidays with disabled family members and friends or with your personal carer? In the popular Reka Holiday Villages and at the Reka Holiday Resort at Golfo del Sole in Tuscany, we also offer just the right obstacle-free or limited obstacle-free holiday accommodation for you.

Reka lives for a more Inclusive Society
Our motto is: everyone should be able to take part fully and on equal terms in society, regardless of their social or ethnic backgrounds, their age, gender or individual capabilities. We see variety and colour as opportunities, and inclusion as a logical step in evolution towards a society which functions as a community. We actively promote exchange and see our Reka Holiday Villages as meeting places open to everyone.
Reka is committed in the long term
At least 50% of our Holiday Resorts in Switzerland will be barrier-free by 2022. With each of our renovations and new building projects we aim to achieve this goal. We are constantly eliminating physical obstacles in our housing, access routes and pathways, playgrounds and other areas. We are making our accommodation wheelchair and walking-aid accessible to guarantee mobility. Travel planning is facilitated in the run-up to holidays as digital accessibility is also one of our priorities. With our website, in the medium term, we are targeting Label A Certification for «Basic Accessibility Requirements, Top Priority».

Where can one find information on Reka’s barrier-free accommodation?
Browse through our offers and get an overview of possibilities. You can ‘walk through’ and explore most of the flats online in a 3D visit. There are also links on the Pro Infirmis website where further details on equipment and accessibility can be visualised. We indicate appropriate flats as barrier-free and keep them available for you as long as possible. Basically, Reka keeps to its principle of treating all guests the same, so those with disabilities do not receive preference. So this is why it’s even more important for us that you be able to book quickly and easily.
