About the location
Lugano-Albonago is the perfect starting point for exploring the area by public transport or on the large network of hiking and cycling trails. The city and the lido can be reached in a few minutes on foot or by bus via the bus stop directly in front of the complex. Numerous museums and events offer a varied cultural agenda throughout the year. Longer excursions from Lugano to the wider surroundings are also worthwhile, for example to the lively cities or secluded valleys of northern Italy, through the idyllic villages and typical wine-growing areas in the Sopra and Sottoceneri or to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Bellinzona, Meride or Mendrisio.
About the region
Hikers, bikers, racing cyclists, golfers, sailors, gourmets, racing drivers, nature lovers and culture vultures... Ticino has something for everybody! Ticino attracts visitors with its southern charm and subtropical vegetation that is unique in Switzerland.
