Bergün / Bravuogn is located at an altitude de 1,376 meters, in the heart of the Grisons. Among the many places of interest in the village centre feature the typical Engadin houses richly decorated with frescoes and traditional oriels, the Romanesque church and the 13th- century ‘La Tuor’ tower in the town square. The Kurhaus Bergün, built in 1905 and 1906, is considered a remarkable Art Nouveau building with well-preserved or restored furnishings and its original extensive kitchen.
In the summer, hiking trails and theme paths beckon, such as the well-known Preda-Bergün rail adventure trail or the popular Heidi trail. During the winter months, a whole variety of snow sports await you. Skiing, snowboarding, winter walking, cross-country skiing or the 6km-long Preda-Bergün toboggan run bring guests down to the railway village.
The spectacular Albula Railway, the centrepiece of the UNESCO Albula-Bernina RhB line, shapes the landscape with its galleries and towering viaducts. Rail enthusiasts will appreciate the almost entirely true-to-scale railway model in the local museum, with an overview of the complex routing of the Albula railway line.
