Speeding down the mountain on two runners. Bergün offers this experience twice: The Preda-Bergün sledge run is a pleasure for all ages. The Rhaetian Railway train takes you over viaducts and through helical tunnels to Preda, from where you sled the 6 km down into the valley. Even more adventurous and fast-paced is the 4.5 km Darlux-Bergün sledge run with tighter curves and more gradients.
At the Albula Railway Museum, visitors can gain a wide range of insights into the most fascinating of all Swiss railway lines, not only in multimedia rooms but also through original exhibits. Bergün / Bravuogn is located at an altitude de 1,376 meters, in the heart of the Grisons. Among the many places of interest in the village centre feature the typical Engadin houses richly decorated with frescoes and traditional oriels, the Romanesque church and the 13th- century ‘La Tuor’ tower in the town square. The Kurhaus Bergün, built in 1905 and 1906, is considered a remarkable Art Nouveau building with well-preserved or restored furnishings and its original extensive kitchen.
In the summer, hiking trails and theme paths beckon, such as the well-known Preda-Bergün rail adventure trail or the popular Heidi trail. During the winter months, a whole variety of snow sports await you. By train: Via Chur-Thusis-Tiefencastel-Filisur-Bergün-(fast train station). 7 min. on foot to the Reka vacation village. Crossing of the village: signpost to the Reka vacation village for pedestrians. Bike trailer for luggage transport.
By car: Via N13 Chur-Lenzerheide or Domleschg (Thusis)-Tiefencastel- Filisur-Bergün. At the village crossroads follow the sign "REKA". Drive down between Preisig confectionery and Volg store and continue to the Reka vacation village.
