Frequently Asked Questions
We have three forms of Reka Money, each of which is intended for a specific purpose:
- Reka-Pay (formerly “Reka-Check”) for holidays, leisure time, mobility and meals.
- Reka-Rail+ exclusively for sustainable mobility (e.g. public transport).
- Reka-Lunch for meals.
Of course – you decide how many forms of Reka Money you’d like to offer at a discount. All three forms are available simultaneously on the Reka-Card. In addition, you can give both the Reka-Pay and Reka-Rail+ forms of Reka Money as a single bonus in the form of a gift card.
- Reka-Pay and Reka-Rail+ as a fringe benefit: an annual discount of up to CHF 600 per person does not need to be declared. For example: for a quota of CHF 3,000 per person with a 20% discount, the discount comes to CHF 600.
- Reka-Lunch as a fringe benefit: the issue of lunch credit of up to the limit established by the Swiss AHV (CHF 180 per month as of 1.1.2025) should be declared with a cross in box G of the salary declaration.
- Bonuses: the Reka Gift Card and the Reka-Rail+ Gift Card are considered as a gift ‘in kind’ and are not subject to declaration up to an amount of CHF 500.- per event (wedding, special service occasions).Details are provided in the guidelines for completing a salary statement.
