Are you familiar with Toggenburg, a charming area between Alpstein and Churfirsten? The clocks run a little slower here. And that’s good because nothing is as valuable as your family time. There is a lot to experience around Wildhaus. On a hiking holiday you can walk past alpine lakes to the heights of the Gamserrugg and Chäserrugg. You will discover foaming waterfalls and secluded resting places along the young Thur river. And on a winter holiday you can enjoy the snow in the largest ski resort in Eastern Switzerland. During the school holidaysr, the call “Come one, come all!” rings out (during summer season). The whole day is devoted to juggling, balancing, playing music and doing magic. And in the evening the little artistes put on an extra performance for the parents. And when they are not practising, they can pass the time in the indoor swimming pool or playing billiards, table football and speed hockey, or at the mini-golf course or at one of the many playgrounds. There’s more for parents, too. Would you like a few hours to yourselves? No problem! At the Rekalino we will take care of your kids, with a great programme of activities, all included in the price. The Schwendihof is located between Unterwasser and Wildhaus in Toggenburg, about a 10-minute walk from the Schwendi lakes. The riding centre offers riding for children from 2.5 years and adults. Wie wir's uns von REKA gewohnt sind, war bei unserem Aufenthalt im Feriendorf Wildhaus alles bestens und wir haben uns in der grossen Wohnung Nr. 43 sehr wohl gefühlt! Einzig die Konnektivität des WLAN liess zu wünschen übrig, aber wir konnten uns mit dem Handy-Hotspot gut einrichten.
Wie wir's uns von REKA gewohnt sind, war bei unserem Aufenthalt im Feriendorf Wildhaus alles bestens und wir haben uns in der grossen Wohnung Nr. 43 sehr wohl gefühlt! Einzig die Konnektivität des WLAN liess zu wünschen übrig, aber wir konnten uns mit dem Handy-Hotspot gut einrichten.

Well maintained family resort
We had a wonderful family vacation at the REKA Wildhaus. The facilities were clean, well-maintained, and plentiful (quite large indoor swimmer pool as well as a fun wading pool, Rekalino playroom, small playground, billiard table, etc.). The staff was friendly and competent. We would come again if in the area. The only thing that was a bit difficult for us as an older couple in our family group was lugging our luggage up the stairs because there are no lifts.

About the region
Eastern Switzerland is not the largest, but certainly one of the most diverse holiday regions in Switzerland. In Toggenburg you will be amazed by the mountains and largely untouched nature. The Appenzell region is famous for its landscape and customs as well as its cheese culture. St Gallen is regarded as an economic and cultural centre and is famous for its long-standing textile tradition, its car-free old town and its collegiate church and library, which are listed as a world heritage site. On clear and clean Lake Constance you can enjoy every possible kind of water activity, and the area is also very well set up for cycling.

Via Buchs (SG) or Will-Wattwil-Nesslau to Wildhaus-Lisighaus (continue by taxi, or on foot approximately 10 min.)
Arrival by car
Via Buchs (SG) or N1 motorway Will-Wattwil, or via Zurich N3 Pfäffikon (SZ) – Rapperswil-Ricken- Wattwil-Nesslau-Lisighaus (turn off at the post office in Lisighaus, look out for the Reka sign)
Please note: It is not possible to drive up to the houses by car. The facility is located on a slope. No luggage transport is provided, however, hand carts are available.
