The huge dam of the Vogorno reservoir seems to block access to the Verzasca Valley. But once you have reached the height of the dam, you find yourself at the beginning of one of the most unspoilt valleys in Ticino. In this valley, near the lake, lies the village of Vogorno-Berzona, which has been turned into a holiday village. Gentle tourism is trying to counteract the depopulation of the deeply incised valley.
