Rivedoux-Plage is on the south coast of Île de Ré, in the Charente-Maritime ‘Département’ and directly on the Atlantic. After an impressive drive from La Rochelle, the stunning Pont de l’île de Ré bridge links the mainland to the bathing resort. Incredibly wide beaches stretch for several kilometres from Rivedoux-Plage. At low tide, you can walk out to the Chaveau lighthouse. The surrounding area is ideal for hikes, bike tours and water sports. Boat rides are also popular as well as sailing and wind surfing, wake- and kite surfing and stand-up paddling.
