The facility
The extensive Vendrell Platja campsite is located in the quiet Comarruga district of the town of Calafell, around 30 km south of Tarragona. Baix Penedès, the surrounding region, is considered Catalonia's gateway to the Costa Dorada and is famous for the "castellers" and their tradition of human pyramids. Vendrell Platja borders directly on the almost 10 km long sandy beach and delights the whole family with activities, sports and entertainment.
The campsite has 169 bungalows and 29 safari tents and offers a reception, safe (at the reception), bar, supermarket, laundry and parking. Wi-Fi available in public areas for a fee. Gastronomically, there is 1 a la carte restaurant, 1 cafeteria and 1 beach club with snack bar.
Location: The wide, gently sloping sandy beach is just 50 m away. The lively town center of Calafell with shopping facilities, bars and restaurants is around 1.5 km away. The Port Aventura theme park is around 38 km away and Barcelona Airport is around 70 km away.
Swimming: Supervised freshwater swimming pool with children's pool and slides (open depending on the weather), free sun loungers and deckchairs by the pool. 100 m to the long, gently sloping sandy beach.
