In the Reka holiday village Urnäsch, 50 families find a cosy holiday home in the Minergie-Eco houses, which were built from local wood. The attractive wooden holiday apartements offer a relaxed atmosphere.
In our small animal stable and mini petting zoo, children get the chance to get up close and personal with the animal inhabitants of the holiday village. The children can come into contact with different animals, feed them, stroke them and get to know them better. Experiences like these are what the children will remember for a long time - often for a lifetime!

Kronberg
Visit Gonten's local mountain - the Kronberg. You can reach it comfortably by cable car Jakobsbad-Kronberg or by one of the numerous hiking trails. The Kronberg bob run and the Kronberg adventure park are located at the valley station. The barefoot trail also starts here and leads over 4.9 kilometres to Gontenbad. The Kronbergbahn accepts Reka money and gives each family a voucher for 1 free bobsleigh ride.

Immer wieder im tierisch guten Rekadorf
Wunderschöne, entspannte Familienferien sind in Urnäsch möglich!
Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Auch die Bauern und die Kinderbetreuung waren super! Tolle Aktivitäten! Einzige Mängel: 1. Es waren ganz andere Produkte für uns bereitgestellt, als wir bestellt haben (z.B. Babyphone anstatt Bettabschrankung). 2. Wir verstehen nicht ganz, warum es nur ein Kinderset-Geschirr hat anstatt zwei, obwohl die Wohnung für 4Pers. Platz hat (2 Kinder, 2 Erw.)...!? 3. Da es einen Sauna-Abend für ladies-only gibt, hab ich mich gefragt, warum es keinen nur für Männer gibt...?! (Zu wenig Nachfrage?) 4. Digitales Einschreiben für die Aktivitäten inkl Übersicht, wer und wieviele sich bereits eingeschrieben haben, fände ich besser als die Papierzettel. Einerseits muss man immer schauen gehen, wann sie hangen und anderseits hab ich teilweise vergessen, für was ich uns eingeschrieben habe und für was nicht... ;-) Anderseits ist es auch gut, wenn man nicht alles am Handy machen muss. Dafür wäre dann eine Übersicht gut, bei was sixh wer eingeschrieben hat. 5. Einfacheres check in mit z.B. Schlüssel aus Schlüsselfach nehmen für diese, welche schon öfters kamen, wäre nicht schlecht... 6. Für diese Familien, welche schon öfters kamen, wäre ein anderes Willkommensgeschenk noch nett (wir haben nun bereits 2 dieser Tuppers Zuhause, andere noch mehr). ;-) Liebe Grüsse Sandra Deicke

Das Einzige das wir bemängeln sind die Betten,die langsam wirklich sehr durchgelegen sind (kommen schon das 9. oder sogar 10Mal..) Beide Erwachsenen hatten Rückenschmerzen bereits nach dem 1.Tag.

Alle waren glücklich in Urnäsch
Wir verbrachten wunderbare Ferien in Urnäsch. Alle sind glücklich und erholt nach Hause gekommen. Der Bauernhof war für unsere Kinder natürlich das Highlight! Sie sind sogar jeden Morgen freiwillig aufgestanden ;) Der einzige minimale Abzug gibts bei der Wasser Temperatur im Hallenbad. Ist doch eher etwas zu wenig warm. Ansonsten sehr zu empfehlen! Wir kommen nächstes Jahr wieder :)

Urnäsch, the beautiful village on the river with the same name in the canton of Appenzell Outer Rhodes, lies at the foot of the steeply towering Säntis mountain, nestling in green meadows and hilly countryside. In the Appenzell hinterland old customs are still proudly kept up and celebrated today. The lively village leads a busy economic life yet has all the same managed to protect its rural character and oriented itself early on towards soft, family-friendly tourism. Its well-known picturesque village square invites you to linger and the numerous walking trails, restaurants and attractions make time fly by.
There is a wide range of offers in Urnäsch. At the warmest time of year, there’s walking and cycling, and several theme walks are ready for you to discover. In addition, you can visit the Appenzell adventure farmhouses or the interesting museums.
In winter, the village offers something for numerous types of winter sports. In addition to the ski lift and cross-country trails, you will also find wonderful winter walking paths.
About the region
Eastern Switzerland is not the largest, but certainly one of the most diverse holiday regions in Switzerland. In Toggenburg you will be amazed by the mountains and largely untouched nature. The Appenzell region is famous for its landscape and customs as well as its cheese culture. St Gallen is regarded as an economic and cultural centre and is famous for its long-standing textile tradition, its car-free old town and its collegiate church and library, which are listed as a world heritage site. On clear and clean Lake Constance you can enjoy every possible kind of water activity, and the area is also very well set up for cycling.
