Ortano is a true hidden gem on Elba. This sheltered bay, with its fine sandy beach and turquoise waters, invites you to dream and relax. On calm days, you can even swim to the small island of Ortano. Directions
Arrival by car: From Zurich or Bern, approx. 7–8 hours to Piombino Marittima (Tuscany) via Gotthard or San Bernardino, then Parma – Livorno – Piombino. In Piombino, take the ferry to Portoferraio (approx. 1 hour), followed by a 30-minute drive to the resort.
Arrival by train: From Zurich/Bern/Geneva via Milan or Florence to Campiglia Marittima, then take a regional train to Piombino Marittima. Ferry to Portoferraio (several departures daily, approx. 1 hour), then 30 minutes by taxi or rental car.
Arrival by plane: From Switzerland to Pisa or Florence, then by rental car or train to Piombino Marittima (approx. 1.5–2.5 hours). Ferry to Portoferraio, followed by 30 minutes by taxi or rental car. Direct flights to Elba are available seasonally.
