Nestled in a breathtaking mountain landscape and surrounded by verdant green meadows or snow-covered fields, the little village is an oasis all on its own. Tschierv sits 1,660 metres above sea level and has less than 180 people living there. Most of the people speak Romansch, and the village is particularly known for wildlife watching and its situation on the edge on the Swiss National Park.
Far from the larger Swiss cities and touristy areas, Tschierv is a fairy tale retreat. The village may be small, but it’s big on charm, and definitely worth a visit. The Minschuns ski area is a great place to ski in winter, and in summer it’s worth a hike in the Münster Valley.
