Elena and her team at the Equestrian Centre L'Oasi offer a diverse experience all around ponies and horses, including care, games, riding and knowledge transfer. The Falconeria Locarno takes visitors into the exciting world of birds of prey. The birds, including falcons, eagles, owls and vultures, are presented in a natural environment as they circle in free flight above the heads of the audience. The demonstrations offer a mix of entertainment and education, providing insights into the connection between humans and birds of prey as well as the history and techniques of falconry. The city of Luino is located on the eastern shore of Lake Maggiore, where a state of emergency reigns once a week. Grundsätzlich war alles friedlich und schön und sehr sauber und nett wie wir es gewohnt sind da in Magadino! ABER: was uns gar nicht gefallen hat, war das „Lager“ einer französisch sprechenden Gruppe von Teenagern ( Knaben)!! Da war Lärm und Geschrei bis jeweils nachts um 24h bis nach 01.00h!! Offensichtlich fühlten sich auch die andern Feriengäste gestört! Kurz gesagt, Rücksichslosigkeit, kein Anstand, kein Respekt, und keine Autorität seitens der Lagerleitung!!

Malgré le temps plus que maussade nous avons passé un beau séjour. Seul bémol, les 105 marches, à faire plusieurs fois par jour pour accéder depuis le parking à l'hébergement. Pas forcément l'idéal pour des personnes d'un âge certain ou famille avec des enfants en bas âges.

Es hat uns gut gefallen in der Reka-Siedlung Magadino. Schade, dass wir nichts vom Umbau des Spielplatzes wussten und somit diesen mit unseren Grosskindern nicht nutzen konnten. Aber nach einer Meldung in der Reka-Zentrale in Bern wurde uns ein Gutschein im Wert von Fr. 100.- zugesandt, was wir sehr zu schätzen wissen!

Magadino is located near the well-known town of Locarno, in the canton of Ticino. Magadino and the other villages along the left bank of the lake, in the Gambarogno, have largely preserved their Ticinese identity. To the south, the terrain climbs steeply towards the Monte Tamaro range and offers a beautiful view out across the whole Locarnese area.
Between the estuary of the Verzasca river and Magadino, the Bolle di Magadino is a landscape of recognized natural value. From the Gambarogno shore villages, scheduled boats run to Locarno, Ascona, the famous Brissago islands and more excursion destinations on the Lago Maggiore. The triumvirate of Ticinese towns Lugano, Locarno and Bellinzona is as easily and quickly accessible from Gambarogno as the nearby Italian market town of Luino.
Hikers, cyclists, bike racing buffs, golfers, yachtswomen, gourmets, racing drivers, nature enthusiasts and culture lovers … Ticino brings a smile to everybody’s face! Favourite destinations in the Sopraceneri region are the southern foothills of the Alps, the medieval castles in Bellinzona, Locarno with the international film festival, the markets in neighbouring Italy and the romantic Maggia and Verzasca valleys. The Sottoceneri region around fashionable Lugano offers lakes and mountains, culture, first-class musical events, culinary highlights as well as great shopping opportunities. The southern part of the canton is particularly interesting for anyone looking for the perfect combination of urbanity and nature.

By car: Via Bellinzona south direction Luino to Magadino. Turn left in the village, in front of the post office/police station, towards Orgnana. Narrow, winding road, about 2 km. The vacation village is on the left, about 400 m before Orgnana.
