Champéry is located in the Lower Valais, more precisely in the Val d'Illiez. The village is one of the oldest tourist destinations in Switzerland and is embedded in the huge skiing area "Les Portes du Soleil". The resort is located at the foot of the Dents-du-Midi and the Dents Blanches. Champéry is home to many traditional chalets with carved balconies.
