In the Maloja region, at 1,697 m above sea level, lies the charming village of Madulain – the smallest community in the Upper Engadine with around 200 inhabitants. It is a paradise for those seeking peace and quiet. And yet this family-friendly holiday resort has a lot to offer: typical Engadine houses, a cultivated Romanesque culture, the largest castle ruins in the Upper Engadine and magnificent mountainscapes. The Reka holiday resort offers plenty of opportunities for games and sports, and is the perfect starting point for hiking, biking and winter holidays. Famous cross-country ski trails are right on your doorstep, and the resort is certified as a Swiss Bike Hotel. The historic building in which the Reka holiday residence is located has recently been completely renovated with great attention to detail.
The Reka holiday resort is located in the village of Madulain and offers 16 comfortable vacation apartments (2- to 4-room apartments), some with sitting area or balcony.
There’s never a dull moment when staying at a Reka holiday home in Madulain. A barbecue area, play area, football field and table tennis table are available in the well-kept garden, while in the youth club there is a pool table and a treasure trove of Ravensburger games. You treat yourself to some time out in the new wellness facility (Private Spa) with sauna, adventure shower landscape with various shower systems (waterfall, jets and rain shower with 3 jet zones) or relax on the heated bench. The holiday residence is an ideal starting point for hikes or bike tours and in winter is located directly on the cross-country ski trails and the unique ice trail on the river Inn. It is also certified as a Swiss Bike Hotel.

Schöne Tage in Madulain über Auffahrt
Wir waren drei Generationen, die zusammen ein paar Ferientage im Rekazenter Madulain verbrachten. Die Wohnung war sauber und gut eingerichtet, auch die Küche ist gut ausgestattet um für mehrere Personen zu kochen. Den Brötli/Brot Service haben wir gerne in Anspruch genommen (gute Qualität). Cornelia ist sympathisch und kompetent und kümmert sich sehr gut um ihre Gäste. Wir kommen gerne wieder 😄.

Die Gastfreundschaft und Freundlichkeit waren super, die Umgebung und die Atmosphäre waren wunderschön, Verbesserungspotenzial gibt es bezüglich Sicherheit für Kinder die Türe lässt sich von innen nur durch Herunterdrücken der Türfalle öffnen und kann nicht für Kinder abgeschlossen werden. Gefährlich sind die ungeschützten Fenster diese lassen sich mühelos öffnen und es hat im Kinderzimmer einen Sims auf den man stehen kann. Beim offenen Fenster hat es keine Stange, keine Scheibe oder keinen sonstigen Schutz und es geht direkt 5-10 Meter in die Tiefe wenn man auf dem Sims steht. Dies hat mich nicht mehr ruhig schlafen lassen da das Kleinkind auch aus dem Reisebett herausklettern konnte. Ansonsten sind die Zimmer sehr schön und gut aufgeteilt und die ganze Anlage ist sehr schön und ansprechend. Auch ein Spielzimmer und eine Sauna/Dampfbad ist vorhanden.

Abbiamo molto apprezzato la vicinanza della struttura sia alla fermata del bus che alla stazione. Inoltre non mancano le passeggiate da fare nei dintorni. Madulain è in una posizione tranquilla e strategica per visitare l'alta Engiadina potendo contare su una base accogliente e di qualità come la residenza Chesa Engiadina.
Abbiamo molto apprezzato la vicinanza della struttura sia alla fermata del bus che alla stazione. Inoltre non mancano le passeggiate da fare nei dintorni. Madulain è in una posizione tranquilla e strategica per visitare l'alta Engiadina potendo contare su una base accogliente e di qualità come la residenza Chesa Engiadina.

Madulain is the smallest municipality in Oberengadin region and stands for peace and calm. The village in the canton of Grisons is not like other larger, holiday resorts that attract visitors with all kinds of loud shows. And that’s great! It enchants its guests with peace and tranquillity and it is a secret tip waiting to be discovered. You’ll find the typical Engadin houses of Madulain, idyllically located along the river Inn. During the summer months Madulain attracts inline-skaters, mountain bikers, riders and hikers, all enjoying the wide variety of trails.
At the colder time of year, cross-country skiing enthusiasts find pistes on their doorstep. The annual cross-country event the Engadin Skimarathon also runs through Madulain. In addition, between Madulain and S-chanf there’s the only dog cross-country skiing trail in Oberengadin. The Oberengadin region is the largest winter sports area in Switzerland – a very worthwhile visit for winter sports fans.

Directions
Mit Bahn: mit der Rhätischen Bahn (RHB) bis Landquart. Umsteigen und bis Madulain fahren. Vom Bahnhof sind es 3 Min. zu Fuss zum Reka-Haus.
Mit Auto: Via Landquart-Davos-Flüelapass-Susch-Zernez-Zuoz-Madulain oder Chur-Tiefencastel-Julierpass-Silvaplana-St. Moritz-Madulain. Im Sommer: über den Albulapass (Chur-Tiefencastel-Bergün-La Punt-Madulain). Autoverlad: "Vereinatunnel" von Klosters bis Lavin. Die Reka-Ferienanlage befindet sich vis-à-vis vom Restaurant "Colani".
