In Haslital bei Meiringen the Aare River has cut a gorge in the limestone that is 200 metres deep in some places. Thanks to the walkways and tunnels, it is easy to hike through the entire gorge. The 1.4 kilometre long path through this captivating gorge is an easy 40-minute walk.

Visit more than 100 residential and farm buildings from all over Switzerland – impressive farmhouses, day labourers’ humble dwellings, alpine settlements complete with stables, barns, storehouses and washhouses. The Haslital region is located behind the Brünig pass, to the south-east of Lake Brienz. Hasliberg (1’082 m ) is situated in the heart of Switzerland in the Bernese Oberland.
