The facility
The modernly equipped holiday appartment leaves nothing to be desired! The city of Lugano is at your feet - enjoy the beautiful view of Lake Lugano.
The holiday home is situated above Lugano in a quiet location and is on the much sought-after south-west slope of Mt. Bré, where you can enjoy the sun in the garden until late in the evening. The swimming pool, games and entertainment facilities of the Reka holiday village Lugano-Albonago can be used.
Services: Baby equipment rental service (free of charge). You have the option of ordering attractive additional services in advance (e.g. bed linen on arrival, terry towelling set).
Family-friendly: participation in the activities of the Rekalino programme of the Reka holiday village Lugano-Albonago is possible.
Bathing and wellness at the Reka holiday village Lugano-Albonago: enjoy your time at the new "Piscina Panoramica", the large infinity pool with an infinite view. Or relax in the new wellness facility with Finnish sauna, steam bath, shower and relaxation room - a highlight that you can book exclusively as a "Private Spa" for 2 hours at a time (for a fee).

Monte Brè
It's worth making the trip here just for the views of the city and Lake Lugano. Funicular railways run in two sections from the edge of Lugano to Monte Brè, the scenic mountain above the lake basin and the vibrant city. Descents down to Lugano or the lake, always via the Brè village, are in part pretty steep, as are the nature and archaeological trail to Gandria.
Lido di Lugano
Like the old bathing huts, it was originally built in homely wood: The "Lido di Lugano" bathing establishment on the shores of Lake Lugano. The large bathing complex was later supplemented by a modern outdoor pool with an Olympic pool and 10-metre diving platform. Today, the baths have two parts: a sporty, lively swimming pool and a cosy lido that is more geared towards relaxation and leisure. The beautifully renovated lido has also succeeded in largely preserving the charm of the old Lido.
Swiss customs museum
The Swiss Customs Museum is to be found in an old border guard post, directly on the banks of the lake only a few metres away from the Swiss-Italian border. A visit to the museum may be ideally combined with a walk through the picturesque surroundings or a meal in one of the nearby caves where you can enjoy the best Ticino fare. There are also picnic areas alongside the museum.
Rekalino-Trail
The Rekalino Trail is an interactive puzzle fun for young and old, which can be played in 13 Reka holiday resorts in Switzerland. The adventure takes participants into the story of "Rekalino & Rekalina", complete with tricky puzzles, games, challenges and experiments. The trail can be played in German and French.

Die Lüftung im Spielzimmer ist zu laut und das Spielzimmer zu klein. Eine Wickelmöglichkeit in der Wohnung Carcano, sehr alter Buggy und Trage. Mehr Kinderstühle im Reka Restaurant. Der Betreuungsschlüssel hat mit der grossen Altersspanne beim Kinderprogramm nicht gepasst. Direkte ÖV Anbietung an den An-und Abreisetagen wäre super. Feuerholz wäre ein toller Service. Ein Bücherschrank für Erwachsene zum Ausleihen.

Wir besuchen seit einigen Jahren die Casa Carcano jedes Jahr in den Herbstferien. Früher waren wir sehr zufrieden, aber dieses Jahr hat das Preisleistungsverhältnis nicht mehr gestimmt. Für eine Woche haben wir mit 1800 Franken doppelt so viel wie im letzten Jahr gezahlt. Die ersten vier Tage hat die Heizung nicht funktioniert und wir haben gefroren. Es gab kein WLAN. Es gab keinen Fernseher. Die Betten waren unbequem und mussten von uns selbst bezogen werden. Wir möchten Sie bitten, uns einen Teil des Geldes zurückzuerstatten.

Lugano-Albonago nestles in a bay on Lake Lugano, in the sunniest corner of Switzerland. The largest town in the Ticinese holiday region lives with a Mediterranean flair! Lugano is characterized by breath-taking views of the mountains, the pedestrianized old town and the vicinity of mountains and lakes.
Lugano-Albonago is the perfect departure point to discover the surrounding area by public transport or using the extensive network of hiking and biking trails. You can reach the town or the lido on foot in just a few minutes or by bus from the stop just in front of the facility.
A very varied cultural programme offers numerous museums and events all year round.
Longer excursions further afield from Lugano are worthwhile. For example, to the lively cities or the spectacular, craggy valleys of Northern Italy, touring through the idyllic villages and typical vineyards of the Sopra- and Sottoceneri or exploring the UNESCO World Heritage sites in Bellinzona, Meride or Mendrisio.

About the region

Directions
By train: Take the back exit at the station and go to the Stazione Piazza Besso stop, then take line 3 towards Mercato Resega and get off at Bottogno. Behind the car park in Via La Santa next to the shop is the Viganello Centro stop. From there bus no. 10 goes directly to Albonago Paese where our reception is.
By car: Leave the motorway at Lugano Nord. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit, direction Gandria, Lugano. After the tunnel, continue towards Lugano. At the crossroads with the traffic lights, turn left towards Gandria, Pregassona (also look out for the brown hotel signs "Villagio Reka). At the Migros make a 90° turn to the right. After another 300 m turn left into via Cassone. At the next crossroads turn right into via Guioni (watch out for the 30 km zone). At the end of the road turn right again until the roundabout San Siro, there take the 2nd exit direction Albonago, Bré, after another 300 m turn left again direction Albonago, Centro Reka. Follow the road for 800 m until you reach the Reka holiday village Lugano-Albonago.
