Welcome to your holiday home in Ticino
High above Lake Maggiore lies the Reka Holiday Resort Magadino. On the edge of a chestnut wood above the village, it borders idyllically on a stream and overlooks the Magadino plain with the mouths of the Ticino and Verzasca rivers. If you are looking for peace and quiet and want to spend time with the children, you will find your little paradise here. Some of the most popular hiking routes and bike trails run nearby, and the protected wetlands of the Bolle di Magadino nature reserve are perfect for exciting excursions into nature. And in the villages of Gambarogno on the lake shore there are countless opportunities for swimming and water sports.
In seven holiday homes, 17 apartments with panoramic views of the lake and the mountains as well as their own sun terrace with seating or garden await you.

What our clients say
About the location
Magadino and the other villages on the left side of the lake, in Gambarogno, have largely preserved their Ticino identity. The terrain rises quite steeply in the south towards the massif of Monte Tamaro, giving a beautiful view of Locarnese. The Bolle di Magadino, between the mouth of the Verzasca and Magadino rivers, is a landscape of recognised natural value. From the shores of the Gambarogno, scheduled boats go to Locarno, Ascona, the Brissago Islands and other destinations on Lake Maggiore. Lugano, Locarno and Bellinzona, the Ticino triumvirate of cities, can be reached just as quickly from Gambarogno as the nearby Italian market town of Luino.
About the region
Hikers, cyclists, bike racing buffs, golfers, yachtswomen, gourmets, racing drivers, nature enthusiasts and culture lovers … Ticino brings a smile to everybody’s face! Favourite destinations in the Sopraceneri region are the southern foothills of the Alps, the medieval castles in Bellinzona, Locarno with the international film festival, the markets in neighbouring Italy and the romantic Maggia and Verzasca valleys. The Sottoceneri region around fashionable Lugano offers lakes and mountains, culture, first-class musical events, culinary highlights as well as great shopping opportunities. The southern part of the canton is particularly interesting for anyone looking for the perfect combination of urbanity and nature.
Ticino attracts visitors with its southern charm and sub-tropical vegetation unique to these parts. In Switzerland’s “sun lounge” you’ll enjoy the particularly mild climate from spring right through until late autumn.
