Larmor-Baden

The seaside resort of Larmor-Baden is in south Brittany, on the Golfe de Morbihan, some 13 km south-east of Auray and 15 km south-west of Vannes. The area is famous for its dolmens and menhirs, dating back to the megalithic culture period. Since the 1960s the village has enjoyed growing popularity for holidays in the typically wild, romantic countryside with its impressive tides. Lots of coves and wide sandy beaches offer the perfect setting for every kind of water sport, especially sailing but also angling. Agriculture and oyster farming are very important in the surrounding area of Larmor-Baden. For excursions you have the Château de Josselin, Carnac and its menhirs, the huge, mysterious Fôret de la Brocéliande or the towns of Vannes and Rochefort-en-Terre.
